The Protein Bakery {review & giveaway}

Share

The marrying of two of my favorite things…baked goods and protein.  Dieters, sweets junkies and really everyone rejoice!  The Protein Bakery has made our beloved baked goods delicious and nutritious!  Not only did I love the goodies but my two and a half year old Nate and my husband did as well.  All the recipes at The Protein Bakery are trans-fat free and preservative free, natural ingredients are combined into the most delicious cookies, brownies and blondies.  Gourmet touches and over 10 years in business, these are the people you want to buy your protein rich, healthier indulgences.

We were sent a very generous assortment of treats which included; Peanut Butter Cookies, Espresso Brownie, Trail Mix Cookie, Oatmeal Cranberry Cookies, Peanut Butter Peanut Butter Chip Cookie, Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies, Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies, Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cookies and finally Coconut Walnut Dark Chip Blondie.  All are delicious but one of my favorites is the Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies which had just the right balance of the flavors and were chewy with just the right amount of chocolate.  My all time favorite that I have been craving since we ate it and can’t wait to order more of when we get the next paycheck is the Coconut Walnut Dark Chip Blondie…oh man is it DELICIOUS!  I love coconut and walnut and had never had a blondie before (I know the bakery never had one!) but I am in love!  The flavors just come together in this delicious moist almost cakelike bar.  The cookies with chocolate chips and peanut butter chips have just the right amount, you would think with a protein rich cookie you would miss out on something but it’s all there.

A few of the things I adore about The Protein Bakery are that the goodies are made in small batches, no mass production here.  I also really like (and it was one of the first things I checked out) is that I can read every ingredient in the treats and I can pronounce them and I know what they are.  There isn’t a thing in these tasty cookies and brownies that shouldn’t be!  PLUS they are packed with muscle building protein which my p90xing self couldn’t get enough of.  A cookie that also gives me some of the protein that I really need?  Double awesome!  The Peanut Butter Peanut Butter Chip Cookie has 17 grams of protein alone.

Can’t eat it all or want to only treat yourself a little?  You can freeze everything that comes from The Protein Bakery, just place the packages in Ziploc bags and place them in the freezer to enjoy later.  Stock up all at once and then bring them out to thaw as needed.

And since I can’t sing enough praises about The Protein Bakery let me share another cool thing…you can visit the loft in New York and check them out for yourselves as well as pick up your goodies at many gyms, natural food stores or cafes but only in very select locations.  My husband Chris and I are planning a trip to New York sometime this year and I will be visiting The Protein Bakery because I am that in love with this place.  I want to visit!  Maybe I could write a blog about it when we go!

One of you lucky LUCKY people is going to win your own assortment of The Protein Bakery’s goodies!
