Leading Lady {review & giveaway}

It’s so hard to find bras for fuller figures and bras for nursing when you have that plus size body are even harder.  When I was looking at nursing bras when I was pregnant, I gave up, it either didn’t come in my size or wasn’t comfortable.  It was so frustrating because not only was I having to wear underwire while my chest expanded but I couldn’t find any comfortable lounging bras and no bra when pregnant is awful because you are so sensitive and sore.  But not anymore!  Now, next time I need a nursing bra I can visit Leading Lady and I will find not just ONE style but several!  Leading Lady is one of the oldest and most successful intimate apparel makers specializing in mothers to be and new moms as well as full figure and sleep bras.  I haven’t found another company in my searches that caters to this market and you have to love them for that!

I decided to review style 5042 (an non wired, t-shirt friendly bra) in size 44F and color Black.  This bra retails for $38.00 and is available in several colors.

5042 Wedgewood

I wanted another of what I call ‘house bras’ bras that are still supportive but with little to no wiring and softer.  The bras I use for going out of the house are underwired and the cups are lined thickly so that things stay concealed haha.  The bra is soft and the band is not scratchy, I was really happy to find that there were no hard edges and that everything looked seamless when it was on.  The straps are wide enough to provide support and comfort which is so important with a larger chest!  The band is wide and easy to fasten and adjust which is another important thing for me, I hate if the hooks are really hard to get in or if it’s a hassle to adjust plus you have four rows of hooks which is my favorite amount!  I find that three rows isn’t enough and five rows I feel like it’s just too much.  I used the fit calculator to determine my size, I was slightly disapointed because it is a little big in the cups, I thought an F sounded big since I’ve lost the 30 pounds but I assumed maybe they ran different.  It will be an awesome bra when I’m pregnant again because my breasts balloon up when I’m pregnant.  I think it would be better for a pregnancy bra anyway so that doesn’t bother me at all but if you are wanting a bra to use for now, use your best judgement.  The bra washes beautifully and I couldn’t be more pleased!

Now that you know all about Leading Lady go forth and restock!  But first, enter my giveaway to win a bra of your very own!

    I love the giveaways but I love to hear about what your little one is up to, since I have a son around his age too. I would love to hear about your bakery and recipes but if you can’t share those I understand.

    my biggest complaint is that the straps fall down. thank you!

  9. My biggest complaint is, I don’t know how this is possible, but it somehow send the girls in different directions. Lefty is pressed up and looking all sexy, but righty gets pulled away and pressed down. Very weird. It’s SO comfy, but results in some funky cleavage. hehehe. I need a new onnnee :D
