workin’ on my fitness

Things have been a wee bit quiet around ye ole Babe’s Rockin’ Mami, I’ve been posting semi regularly still but I feel like I’m all over the place and I’ve also been feeling that way in my life, not having any real direction and feeling a little…off.  I wasn’t sleeping and I wasn’t feeling well and it was making it really hard to find time to be a good mom let alone blog.

Speaking of the not feeling well, I did go to the doctor and had blood work done and…everything came back normal!  All of my things are working and operating as they should which was great to hear but at the same time I wish I had an answer for why I’ve been feeling so gross.  I am scheduled for a full physical in October (the soonest appointment) and will see how that goes.

We have recently implemented a schedule around here to help me and Nate feel a little more ordered.  He has always had a rough schedule and a set bedtime but I decided to make it a little more regimented.  So far it’s paying off, he’s sleeping again which means I’m slowly getting more sleep.  I’m averaging 2-3 nights a week where I don’t wake up often but most of the time I’m getting up all night.  On top of sleep we are also spending more time with just me and him playing and hanging out and giggling which has been so much fun!

I’ve been walking a lot because I like it and I injured my shoulder somehow and messed my knee up and both have been a slow recovery so walking and yoga are my ways of exercising right now.  No lifting allowed and that has been annoying!!  I want to get back on routine but right now I have to let my body fix itself.

So, that’s really all that’s been happening.  Nate, parenting, spending time with Chris and working on my fitness.  Now you are updated!  What have you guys been up to??  I feel like I’m not the only blog in lazy mode because I’m not seeing tons from you either.

  1. Schedule’s do seem to make a world of difference! I’m hoping that with my move I’ll be able to put myself on a better work-out and sleep schedule. I’ve been running myself into the ground lately and I’m about ready to get some control over this chaos (read my life). I hope your body mends quickly and that sleep becomes your friend again :)

  2. I’ve been kinda non-existent too. Yes your body needs to heal first and walking is so good. I hurt my toe and have been walking too. I like it.

  4. Heck I am all over the place too and I don’t think it is going to get any better this summer. Oh well life gets in the way and that’s ok. I need to kick my workout schedule back into gear. I am feeling sluggish again and I hate that feeling.

  5. Well, I’ve been crazy, too, which is why I’m just getting to these posts. I hurt my shoulder, too! No upper body for me right now, so focusing on core and legs. The sleep thing is soooo hard.
