Awesome.
He isn’t perfect, no one is and he has quirks like we all do, mostly me. He cleans the kitchen after I’ve just cleaned it and once he gets something stuck in his head it won’t go away until he sorts through it. I often say ‘we don’t have to talk about it right now’ but we do, because we are both crazy. He is the kind of guy who will stay an hour late at work if he’s three minutes late. He is also, the best father for my children that I could want. I think that’s how most of us feel about the fathers of our children, they might not be perfect for someone else but they are perfect for us.

Chris is very hands on with Nathaniel, when he is home he is Daddy and I wouldn’t change it any other way. Just because I stay at home doesn’t mean that when he gets home he goes to his man cave to drink beer and watch the game while ignoring Nate and I. That isn’t him and it doesn’t happen. There are days when he is tired and would rather sleep (and most mornings he does get to squeeze in an extra hour or so) but he just looks at those big hazel eyes and he can’t look away.
He is a great partner in parenting, I make up most of our rules (with input a lot of the times of course) and instead of deciding to do it his way or just saying ‘eff it she isn’t around’, he sticks with them. Nate will never be able to play us against each other because we both know consistency is the key for our parenting.
He can lose his temper at times but I actually like that. Not in the sense that we should lose our temper but because I do too and I do in front of him sometimes and I think it lets us both know, this happens and we can move on from it.
Horsey, robot, airplane, jungle gym, firemaker and slide are all included in his title of Daddy.
There are so many kids who don’t get to know their fathers but Chris makes sure every child he encounters knows that he cares and they can count on him and I love that.
Happy Father’s Day Punk Rock Papi! I can’t wait until we have more then one kid to help make breakfasts, paint pictures and make crafts for you!

He is awesome! And super awesomer because he has you to help him remember he is awesome and to let him know how much you love everything he is doing.
Love this post!
