12 Weeks Preggers

Share

Ugh…I hate when people call being pregnant ‘preggers’, I can do prego but there is something creepy about preggers.  Which is of course why I used it!

Every thing is looking good with baby, measuring right on track for 2/8 still and doesn’t appear to have anything wrong with her/him.  A lazy bum of a baby, I had to have a full bladder, drank a diet mountain dew and this kid still just kind of twitched around.  Nate would move everywhere, kick the wand and sometimes roll over and refuse to turn back around.  They shook my uterus and pressed on my bladder and just barely got the measurements and none of the pictures were very clear so I don’t have any to share with you!

I was annoyed because last time I went at 8 weeks they were missing my information from the other three times I had been for PAPs and pregnancy tests and then today I go and they again don’t have anything.  So, I had to do the tons of questions all over again and then since the girl was new and backed out…I got to do them a THIRD time!  Then I had to wait and wait and wait for the ultrasound and finally after two hours of being there we got to go.  But no wait, had to then go talk to someone about finances and payments and how we are going to pay for the baby that I haven’t even had.  I was so frustrated at that point that I was being bitchy and told them we would go home and talk about payments.  I just HATE when people put you on the spot for financial stuff.

Me:  I only have four months to pay for a baby that’s due in February?

Her:  Yes.

Me:  I can’t pay $150/month

Her: Well what CAN you pay????

Just annoyed me to no end, $150/month extra out of bills and not wanting to let us talk it over at home.

But, the baby is fine, my blood pressure was 118/66 and I’m down 7 pounds so I can’t complain TOO much.  But I still will, a little.

  1. I love it when people think that just because you are pregnant and having a baby, that you magically have money! Pshh! I have never in my life had to pay so much for my kids to do ANYTHING than when they were in utero and born, WITH insurance.

  2. Medical bills. Ugh. I could go on and on and on…

  3. I’m glad the baby is fine! And good for you for continuing to lose weight! Did you do that with Nate too? One of my friends continued her medically supervised diet while pregnant and she showed up at my wedding 13 years ago, leaving her 3 month old at home…she looked FABULOUS!

The health care system down here frustrates me. My sister and I both have the state health plan and I am astounded by how much she has to pay to have this baby. My son, up north, was completely free… I paid one $25 copay for the whole dang thing. For my daughter we had to pay $200 and I remember being incensed. I had friends up north dealing with infertility and every procedure was covered… not the same down here! Gracious, now I’m thankful!

  4. Don’t even get me started on medical bills……like you don’t have anything else to worry about at the moment.
