What Day is Today? *also, picture heavy warning!*

Today is Nathaniel’s birthday!  As of 8:30 am this morning, he is three years old!  You know this means the obligatory mushy gushy birthday post!

Rough, tough and enjoys a mani/pedi.  He’s into trucks, cars and planes.  This michivous little man was a complete surprise and shock that took me awhile to wrap my head around and now I can’t get enough.  Artistic, crafty and insanely smart…he has continued to surprise me every day.

He is a sweet, rambunctious, caring and thoughtful child.  He is patient and kind and loves to talk to everyone.  Constantly the center of attention and getting adults and children to bed to his whims.  The kid loves people and is happiest when he has someone to play with or a parent to snuggle.  I could just go on and on and on about him but most of you either don’t want to hear it or have been reading long enough to know what a little beast he is.

I could not have imagined when I saw the double lines (and then the digital flashing of *PREGNANT*) that my life would be this amazing and enriched by a little tiny person but it has been.  Nate inspires me to be a better person and makes me look at the world in a new way, once I saw him, the world brightened up and from the very moment I held him I knew that I would do whatever it took to protect him.  We have been growing up together one day at a time.  Becoming a mother is the most powerful thing I have ever done and has changed me in ways that I didn’t think possible and I will always have Nathaniel to thank for that and hopefully he will thank me one day for making him who he is.
