Last Saturday, my co-host Bethany (of Kidding Around Greenville SC)and I hosted a Graco event at the Greenville Babies R Us! I was pretty nervous because I have never hosted before but it was really great meeting other moms, talking ‘shop’ & also meeting other bloggers!! If you are a blogger then you know that usually when you talk about blogging you are met with blank stares & it was so awesome to have someone relate! We had a small turnout but a woman who works at Babies R Us told us that it was the biggest turn out they have had at that store so I felt a lot better about it!

I was really impressed with this new carseat, it was surprisingly lightweight and easy to get in and out of the base. Also, you can adjust the carseat back on either side of it and it’s very simple to use, I’m sure I could even teach Nate to do it! A few fun facts I learned during my time preparing for the event were that you should NOT use the seat belt AND latch system together because they can cancel each other out! I had no idea and until I read that, I was using both systems with Nate’s carseat. I went right out to the van and fixed it up! Plus, the stroller, there are currently three strollers that work with the click connect technology and I was in heaven with it! Am I the only one who compares test driving a stroller to test driving a car? For me, handle height is important because I’m 5’1″(and 5/8 if you want to get technical) and usually handles are too high but this one is perfect for me and for my husband who is a more average 5’8″. The next thing I’m looking for is it easy to turn/maneuver and lightweight? Check and check for the Graco strollers! I kept driving it around and so did Nathaniel encouraging other people to give it a go! I do have to say that my absolute favorite part of the event? The Q&A/mingle portion because we all got to talk about our blogs, kids and pregnancy!

A little info for you…
The Graco SnugRide® Click Connect™ 40 – the first and only newborn to two-year infant car seat that actually grows with your baby from four pounds all the way up to 40 pounds. The car seat is designed for a parent on the go. The infant car seat can be easily removed from the base and used as a carrier when the infant is small, providing portability and convenience so you can easily move your infant in and out of the car without disturbing them.
The American Academy of Pediatrics recently made the recommendation to keep all children in rear-facing car seats until the age of 2. Graco set out to make this product so parents can keep infants rear facing longer while still keeping them comfortable. So get to your local store and check one out! The retail is $219.99 and is well worth the fact that you can use this all the way up to two years old!

Congrats on a successful event! I love Graco stuff – I had so many of their products when my boys were little.
