Awesome Pregnancy

Share

I’ve been bemoaning being pregnant for a few weeks now.  I was done around 36 weeks after I started to really feel pregnant.  A few days later the cramps and contractions started.  Now at 39 weeks 4 days, I figured I would share the ways that this pregnancy has actually been pretty awesome compared to my pregnancy with Nate because it really has been.

It took 36 weeks for me to genuinely feel pregnant.  I went from ‘meh this ain’t so bad’ to ‘holy mother of everything I’m a pregnant beast’ in about 3 seconds.

No fat face.  Or fat ass.  Or swollen feet and hands.  None.  Occasionally my hands or feet will swell enough for me to notice for about an hour and that’s it.

I haven’t had to stop driving.  I literally outgrew my car around the beginning of the third trimester with Nate, it was annoying but not impossible since I bloated like a beast so quickly.  I didn’t really want to go anywhere alone anyway.

I’ve only gained about 8 pounds this go around.  Nate was 50+ pounds.  EVERYWHERE.  I will share a picture of me at 40 weeks with him and 40 weeks with her on Friday, if I’m still pregnant then.

BP has been well under control with her but it was a hot mess with Nate.  I’ve still had to be on medication for it but it’s been perfect.

I haven’t spent my third trimester in June/July/August.

I can usually go all day long but last pregnancy if we were out for a few hours I would swell up to insane degree and I would be exhausted!

That’s really all I’ve got but it’s enough for me!

  1. Good for you for counting blessings. That’s so hard to do at this stage of the game!

First of all congratulation for the addition to the family! It is good to hear that a mom is very happy during her pregnancy. If the mother is happy then the baby in your womb felt the same.

  3. I love the minimal weight gain. That can make s such a difference in those late stages (although I always gain plenty!). I admire your attitude. I’m always done a few weeks before baby comes too!

  4. It’s so crazy to me how different two pregnancies can be. I have everything possible crossed for you that Miss A decides to make her grand entrance tomorrow. She has the rest of her life to learn how to be fashionably late. Thinking of you! <3
