I apologize for not posting any reviews or giveaways last night, my husband left for Baltimore until Friday and I just didn’t feel like spending time writing reviews/giveaways on Saturday instead of snuzzling him.  I will pick winners later today also.

Makeup Monday with Babe's Rockin' Mami

For today’s Makeup Monday I have only done one eye because of a time constraint but it’s a great one!  For this look I would recommend putting your face makeup on LAST because of mineral shadow fall out.  The colors I used were a dark matte purple and a shimmery teal color.

Start with a prepped eye.  I used a primer on my eye and then put a layer of NYX jumbo pencil in Milk over that to make the blue and purple pop.  Then I lined my upper and lower waterline (the inside of your eye).

Next get your brush damp and apply the teal color to the inside half of your eye. (and take a blurry picture haha)

Next take your dark purple and put it on the outer half blending in.  Also run your brush into your crease to bring the color over.  (Notice the mess I’m making?  That’s fine because we will clean it up later!)

Next take white shadow and blend your color to your eye brow and add some white to the inner corner. Take foundation/makeup remover and clean up any stray makeup.  Apply several coats of mascara and you are done with your eyes.  After this you can apply your face makeup as normal, I was about to go workout so I didn’t do this step for you today.

Makeup Monday with Babe's Rockin' Mami

I keep promising fun dramatic looks and not delivering.  Just call me flaky!  I wasn’t sure I would have enough time this week to do one so I took pictures of my most recent everyday look and decided to share.

It’s really simple but pretty and I swear on all the makeup in my collection next monday there WILL be a colorful crazy look!!  Tomorrow is my day off of working out and my ass is going to be in my bathroom as soon as Nate goes to bed.

This was done in such a hurry and my camera battery died so I don’t even have a good picture of my all done face but hey here is a bonus of me right after working out!  SEXY!

I used a shimmering nude and a matte nude with a light grey for this look.  Super simple.  Do your face makeup, curl lashes.

Apply pencil liner to the outer half of your upper and lower waterline (the inside of your eye).  Put the matte nude all over your lid to the brow bone then put the shimmer nude up to the crease of your eyelid.  Next take that light grey and work it into the corner and blend into your crease.

Add liner however you want (I accidentally did a thick line and had to try to cover it with more shadow).  A couple coats of mascara, an opaque lip gloss and you are good to go.  * I have since plucked my eyebrows*

Makeup Monday

This week I am going to talk about skincare while working out!  Why not?  So many people resolve to work out more or lose weight or just get healthier!

It’s been several years since I worked out and I was younger and hadn’t had a kid so I never really noticed a skin change but now I’m 27 and have a toddler so my skin has changed, hormones have changed…it’s all changed.  After some experimenting I have found a few products that help.

 

Working right to left…

Neutrogena Oil Free Acne Wash, $6 at drug stores/retail stores.

I have been doing p90x and noticed an increase in breakouts and redness.  Something that I haven’t dealt with since I was a teenager and it freaked me out.  I used to have SEVERE  acne/pizza face and this made me have trauma flashbacks.  It’s from working out and my cleanser being bad for my ‘new’ skin and sometimes I can’t always get right to the shower immediately after working out.  That may be gross but I spend 60-90 minutes working out during Nate’s naps and sometimes he wakes up right at the end and other days it’s an hour or two longer before Chris gets home.  I could shower while he’s awake and I do but it’s not without risk, recall hair powder everywhere, hot pink shadow on the toilet, crystal light all over the tile or a toddler on a ladder ‘playing’.  So…it’s best to avoid that.  This cleanser has helped with the redness and doesn’t make my skin hurt like my other face wash was.  Also I’ve found that a clean washcloth instead of my shirt or hand to wipe sweat off of me is a much better option.

Next is cake satin sugar hair and body powder, EdenFantasys, $17.99

This helps with greasy roots and soaking up sweat if I have to take care of Nate.  What’s been happening is I’m showering 1-2 times per day and I do not wash my hair that often or it dries my scalp out even more in the winter so I wash it every other day.  This helps refresh my hair if it’s looking a little limp.

Oil of Olay, $6-10, drug stores/retail stores

I have always used this and have told you guys about it a hundred times already but with extra sweating, extra showering and winter I’m applying this twice a day now to help and it really is!

Last is Secret Clinical Strength, $8, most stores

This stuff isn’t cheap in my opinion but it does work.  I haven’t even used that one in the picture and it’s already half up the container.  But it works.  I was stinking so bad using my $3 always worked before deodorant so I decided to buy the trial size of this stuff and was amazed.  When you are in downward dog or doing presses/push ups you don’t want to smell your own stanky body and this stuff makes me smell fresh.  I have been applying it when I get out of the shower and for a full 24 hours until I shower again I don’t smell and continue to notice the scent.  There are a few scents, the one I have is a super light just clean smelling one and I like it.  I love it and would happily spend the money for it again and again.  If you sweat a lot (mine got worse after giving birth) or you work out a lot you should get this!

I also noticed that I was STINKING!!  Bad BO something I didn’t realize when I used to workout because I was single with lots of money and bought the fancy deoderant and also I didn’t really have a sweating issue.  Since having Nate I sweat and I sweat like a big ole man!
