The Angry Birds have found a great happiness with SwaddleDesigns and the two have teamed up to introduce the Angry Birds Baby Collection!
If you don’t know what Angry Birds are, it’s a crazy popular game made by Rovio, they have over 600 million downloads and nearly everyone I know is playing the game! It’s not just young kids either, old, young, boy or gal, everyone loves playing Angry Birds!
Once again I got the opportunity to review a few products from Swaddle Designs! If you don’t know about SwaddleDesigns, it was founded in 2002 and was the very first company to bring us a large square swaddle! With SwaddleDesigns you are getting great colors and prints, a blanket stitch edge, amazing high quality fabric (I could pet the Ultimate Receiving Blanket all day that flannel is SO soft) and a fun feature is the 123 Swaddle® instruction label that helps you master a swaddle. Chris and I made sure that was one of the things we were taught and mastered at the hospital because being a baby burrito kept Nate calm and shushed. I love their Ultimate Receiving Blanket® and the Marquisette Swaddling Blanket®, I have a duo of my own for future baby and we have given a few sets away to expecting friends. They are so great because they are square, when your baby is screaming for a swaddle you don’t have to think about which way the blanket is going and the directions are sewn right on the edge of the blanket. I remember when Babes was a newborn the less thinking I had to do the better! Another great feature is that the blankets are a generous 46″ x 46″ so you have plenty of blanket to swaddle your bundle in! What is great is that they have different weights, the Ultimate Receiving Blanket is a lightweight cotton flannel blanket, more for winter and cooler temps while the Marquisette Swaddling Blanket is a very lightweight open weave high quality cotton, perfect for warmer weather. That would have been perfect the summer Nate was born because he liked being swaddled but we could only use the less then aesthetically pleasing hospital blankets because all of his other ones were flannel and after a few months, they were too small. That won’t happen with my SwaddleDesigns blankets! Also, these aren’t a one hit wonder, you can use them for breastfeeding if you like to cover, tummy time playmat, sometimes they are a handy burping cloth in a pinch and of course you could cover the stroller with it. Receiving blankets are so useful!
I was sent a few product from the new, Angry Birds Baby! I received one Angry Birds Baby Bodysuit which retails for $15.00 and comes in sizes 0-3, 3-6 and 6-12 plus one Marquisette Blanket which retails for $20.00. I knew of course they would be high quality pieces because I’ve reviewed before but they are so adorable! The colors are very bright and vibrant and have lasted through a few washes looking just as great. The onesie has a red double stitch trim and three small plastic snaps with a very small SwaddleDesigns tag.
And Angry Birds is just the beginning! There are all kinds of great designs available this year!
